Shawls and cloaks

Women wore their cloaks different than men.† Their cloaks were rectangles and instead of pinning it on the side, they pin the cloak in the middle, between their brooches.† According to Sunnifa Gunnarsdottir:

ďTo close the mantle, use an equal-armed brooch, a circular brooch, a trefoil, a box brooch, a penannular brooch or even a ring-headed pin.Ē

Unlike the men, coats have not been found in Viking womenís graves.† I donít understand this because my wife looks great when wearing my coat.† So, if you want a coat, just claim that itís your husbandís and you should be fine.
